A trip back “home” to Tuskegee University. I truly love my alma mater and try to return every year for homecoming.

When you’re a boys’ mom, you have to be willing to have fun and be silly! We are proud parents to boys affectionately nicknamed Champ and Chief.

You can’t visit London and not capture a shot with signature red telephone box.

Off-road riding in Puerto Vallarta! I love an adventure! 🙂

What's your secret talent that no one knows about?

Although I have no official broadcasting/media experience, I serve as an “Anchor” for my church’s weekly video announcements. I have served in this role since 2012 and have become quite good at either memorizing the script or reading from a teleprompter. The keys to success are minimal hand movements, strategic voice inclinations, and SMILE! 🙂

What's the last book you read?

Becoming by Michelle Obama. Fun Fact—I had the opportunity to attend her book tour, which was just like chatting directly with her about key points within the book.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

SeaTreking in St. Maarten! You are basically walking along a path on the floor of the ocean, fully trusting in the equipment provided to you. The caveat is—as much as I love, love, love water-based activities, and I’ve run the full gamut with dolphins, stingrays, starfish, parasailing, jet-skiing, an inflatable playground in the ocean—I don’t know how to swim. I’ve not given up hope yet!

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about one owning the trajectory of his/her legacy by not only considering the individual but also bringing the younger family members along the way. Being intentional and meaningful with today’s actions can lead to a lifetime of transformations—one decision at a time.
