This is my husband! We were married on November 11, 2017. His name is Emmanouil but I call him Manuel because that was just a lot to say. Others call him Manny or Moe.
This is our son, Niko! He is 18 months old now, this is an older, pre-quarantine picture. That’s why everybody is smiling. He is so sweet, happy, and funny. He’s really into pushing things, flipping things, and climbing things. And also he’s really into cheese.
We love the Baltimore Ravens, but I’m just there for the food. And if the game is on in my house, I’m also really just in it for the food.
Here’s one more of Niko for good measure. There’s never enough Niko. Also, side note, he fell asleep in the water during his swim class that day, because swim class conflicted with his nap time. I was holding him and we were practicing back floats and then I noticed his eyes were shut and honestly got jealous because same.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I watch New Girl on a loop. It is the most underrated comedy show of all time – I make all of my friends and family watch it when they come over and then they’re hooked. I also watched the new Michael Jordan docuseries “The Last Dance” four times through because he’s just so inspiring. I don’t even like basketball – that’s how good it is. My one year old son had to watch it with me and I do feel bad about that but there is a limit to how many times I can watch Despicable Me in one day.
What four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most?
This is a good question. Obviously the four people at the dinner table would have to be at peace with the amount of food I’d order because there is no cap on how much food I can eat in one sitting. I would invite the cast of friends minus Chandler and Monica if I had to vote two of them off the island. Otherwise, my four would be F. Scott Fitzgerald, Michael Jordan (because of that docuseries – I’m telling you, it’s really good), Dave Chappelle (because he is so educated and intelligent and I need jokes 24/7), and my grand dad.
What's the coolest thing you're working on right now?
The coolest thing I’ve got going right now is my blog. I started working on it at the start of quarantine so it’s been about seven months now and I have really stuck with it. It’s been a lot to figure out on my own – I had never built a website before or written for a large audience or even edited my own photos, so it’s been fun to watch it grow.
Who is your least favorite superhero?
So my husband has really poisoned me against the DC superheroes. He likes the Marvel ones. I tried to stay out of it because it’s not my thing but then I saw him watching The Punisher on Netflix and that got my attention. He is really, really cool (and really I just like the actor that plays him but if my husband asks it’s not about that, it’s about THE STORYLINE). Least favorite is Batman. I could never get into those movies. I fell asleep at the movie theater one time because it was a midnight premiere but it was so loud and I still managed to doze off… do better Batman. Do better.
