Alex serves as a Senior Lead Planner for Facet. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER with over twelve years of experience. Prior to joining Facet, Alex served as the Director of Financial Planning with IronGate Partners, Inc. Alex is passionate about working closely with individuals, families, and business owners in building a financial plan to reach their goals. He believes his entire career has prepared him for the opportunity with Facet to help coach clients often overlooked by other firms in creating a plan to be financially independent without the entanglement of assets under management fees and expensive product commissions.
Outside of work Alex enjoys staying active, traveling with his wife, Megan, and volunteering in his community. He spends his free time surfing, skateboarding, golfing, disc golfing, snowboarding and wakeboarding. On Sundays Alex serves as a youth leader at Port City Community Church.

Where's your favorite place in the world?
Pine Trees in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Easy hammock camping under expansive starry sky right by a consistent reef surf break.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
I’m passionate about music and seeing live music, so this is a tough one. It might be Tea Leaf Green at the Soap Box in Downtown Wilmington, NC since it was just before the venue shut down and we thought the floor was going to fall through!
If you could visit anywhere in the world you've never been, where would you go?
I would love to make a long trip to boat around West Sumatra, Indonesia, surfing.
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
It would be fascinating to swap places with Alex Honnold and free climb El Capitan (assuming I maintain all of his skills and nerves).
